The Short Version
ExpactCalc does not collect your salary, personal details, or any data you enter into our calculators. All calculations happen in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers. The only data we collect is standard web analytics (page views) and the cookies required by Google AdSense for ad personalisation.
1. Who We Are
ExpactCalc is a free financial tools website serving expatriate workers in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) region. Our website is available at expactcalc.com.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, store, or process:
- Your salary, income, or financial figures entered into calculators
- Your name, email address, or personal identification details (unless voluntarily submitted via the contact form)
- Your employment details or gratuity entitlements
3. Data We DO Collect
3.1 Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site (pages visited, time on page, geography). This data is aggregated and anonymous — we cannot identify individual users. Google Analytics uses cookies. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
3.2 Google AdSense
We display ads via Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to show personalised advertisements based on your browsing history. You can opt out of personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.
3.3 Contact Form
If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, and message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to mailing lists without explicit consent.

We use the following cookies:
- Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid, _gat): For website analytics. Expire in 2 years / 24 hours / 1 minute respectively.
- Google AdSense cookies: For ad personalisation. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
We do not use any tracking cookies of our own beyond the above third-party services.

The UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) came into effect in January 2023. ExpactCalc complies with this law. As we process minimal personal data and do not sell or share data with third parties beyond the analytics and advertising services described above, our obligations under UAE PDPL are limited.

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
